A place near the pond, which can be accessed through the Japanese garden or through the footbridge across the meadow. Dozens of varieties of beech trees have been planted here differing in size, sort and leaf color. Among them grow bushes of azalea many varieties blooming with a myriad of colors. On the edge stands a big specimen of a red oak. The background of conifers includes colorado fir, mountain fir and eastern hemlock. The monotony of the conifers is broken by decorative trees like apple trees, barberry bushes, rowan and Kamchatka berries in different varieties. Among the azaleas an attempt at a recreation of a natural heath including Lingonberry was initiated. From the west the collection borders with a small group of different oak species. From the north it borders with a natural meadow and a gathering of red osier dogwoods, which make the garden a pleasant place during winter with their multicolored tangle of sprouts. From the group emerges a big bush of arrowwood one of the oldest in the garden.
