Perennial garden

Located on north side of the pond taking both dry and wet positions. It is shielded with a lane of trees from the north that includes beeches, larches and maple trees and a lane of sycamores from the west. It has been divided into a couple oval quarters separated with paths. In an overwhelming majority it is planted with all sorts of perennials at least 200 species and types. It is created by plants from the spring aspect like tulips, grape hyacinths and crocuses as well as late asters shrubby asters, autumn crocuses and colchicums. Apart from that there are pleiads of plants of different shapes, heights and blooming times. During spring this part is planted with dahlias and cannas. Stylewise it is a naturalist garden with marked floors where perennials grow freely among the shrubs and trees. Trees grow columnar here: tulip tree, decorative apple trees, hornbeams, elm trees, oak trees and catalpas as well as Caucasian walnut. A group should be mentioned from the shrub category: budded conifers, American witchhazel, butterfly bushes as well as English dogwood and lilacs. Additionally: smoke bushes, decorative hazel, edible corneltree and contrasting types of boxelder maple. All this is topped off with peony, rock geranium and windflowers. We will find ferns in the shadow. Small quarter of tulips, located at the very edge, contains species dedicated to great Poles.

Nearby, next to the north edge of the garden, along the oak wood fence there is another national accent Polish collection of clematises. There are variations that commemorate important historical events, essential characters and locations of our country. What is of significant importance is that these variations have been grown in Poland and they are being bred by the best climber nursery in Europe CLEMATIS from Pruszków, property of incredible gardeners: Mr. Marczyński and Mr. Piotrowski. For the park in Biskupice presence of this collection is a matter of prestige. Throughout years clematises were the favourite subject of works of Bolesław Sękowski. It was him who wrote the first monograph about these amazing plants and popularized their breeding in Poland.
